Boys, it is your responsibility to stay up-to-date with your prep - make sure you do! Also remember that you only need to share a document with me once - not every time you work on it. Do all of one type of work on the same document eg all WOTD does on one doc, not a new one each day! Some of you have really got the hang of this - good on you!

Some of 5/6 KF completely engrossed on the iPads, working on their information reports on NZ native birds and animals. 11 boys have now brought their own iPads in to class and, so far, the initial time spent working using them has been extremely positive! Boys using the class set of iPads are similarly engaged.

Today has been a bit of a mixed day with the choir out most of the morning so while it was 'class as usual' the usual quantity of work was not completed in all areas. Tomorrow will be a little different as well as boys will be sitting 'entrance exams' for class placements for next year - class work is also taken into consideration however potential new boys are sitting the exams and they give us something of a comparison platform.

9 iPads in today ( plus one boy who is bringing one in away sick) which means we have enough digital devices within the classroom for a one-to-one ratio which is so exciting!
There was the first cracked screen before school even started when an iPad was dropped on the concrete (not from our class thankfully). This serves as a timely reminder of the value of a case that protects the whole iPad with rubber corners etc.
